We are excited to announce that the $SONIC Initial Claim is about to go live! As part of our ongoing commitment to building the Sonic SVM ecosystem, this initiative rewards our early community supporters and contributors that have been with us along the journey to launch.

Key dates to remember:
  • Snapshot Date: December 31, 2024
  • Initial Claim off-chain to CEX: January 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM UTC
  • Initial Claim Opens: January 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM UTC
  • $SONIC TGE: January 7, 2025, at 12:00 PM UTC
  • Claiming Deadline: January 30, 2025
 

Total Initial Claim Allocation: 7% of Total $SONIC

To incentivize Sonic SVM growth and strengthen community participation, 7% of the total $SONIC supply has been allocated for the Initial Claim. This distribution reflects our vision of fostering a decentralized, community-driven ecosystem focused on long-term engagement and development.

Initial claim criteria

  1. Sonic AVS Delegators
      2. Users who delegate SOL or eligible Liquid Staking Tokens (LSTs) to Sonic AVS via Solayer, including those staking through protocols powered by Solayer, such as Adrastea and Rate-X.
  1. Node Holders
      2. Users holding HyperFuse Observer Nodes will be awarded $SONIC based on the number of nodes they hold.
  1. Odyssey Participants
      2. Early adopters who actively participated in the Sonic Odyssey Campaign are eligible if they meet all of the following 4 criteria:
      • Successfully completed tasks on at least 2 out of the 3 networks: Origin, Frontier V0, or Frontier V1
      • Completed at least 14 check-in tasks across any networks. (not necessarily consecutively)
      • Accumulated at least 500 Rings across all networks.
      • Holding a Sonic Odyssey Pass NFT
  1. SonicX Users
      2. Players who logged in with TikTok accounts and played SonicX before or during the TikTok Airdrop Campaign are eligible for $SONIC Initial Claims.
  1. World Store Points Holders
      2. Users ranked in the Top 500 on the World Store leaderboard and bound their Solana wallet address before the snapshot are eligible.
  1. Mirror NFT Holders
Users who hold Mirror NFTs and have completed registration will receive $SONIC Initial Claims based on the number of Mirror NFTs they hold.

Initial Claim Claiming Rules

To balance immediate liquidity with the long-term health of the Sonic SVM ecosystem, ensuring token price stability and rewarding long-term supporters, we offer two initial claim options for eligible users to choose from:
  • Option 1: Claim 60%, Vest the rest over a 6-month period, starting 6 months after TGE for a 140% bonus
  • Option 2: Claim the full airdrop amount immediately
 
Unclaimed Tokens
Any unclaimed $SONIC after the claiming deadline will be reallocated to the Community Incentive Pool, supporting future ecosystem growth and reward programs.
 
Free Gas for TikTok Users
To ensure TikTok users can easily claim their $SONIC, we are offering free gas to eligible addresses within the SonicX.app on TikTok.
 
This includes users who logged in via TikTok and addresses that meet the Odyssey criteria and completed SonicX tasks. Free gas claims start on January 3, 2025, available for 72 hours, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Sybil-Prevention

To ensure a fair and transparent $SONIC Initial Claim process, Sonic SVM partnered with Trusta Labs, a leading provider of anti-Sybil solutions. Trusta Labs conducted a comprehensive review of all wallet addresses using advanced Sybil-prevention technology, ensuring that only legitimate participants qualified for the airdrop.
 
Trusta Labs applied its proprietary on-chain reputation system, evaluating wallet activity across key dimensions such as Monetary Transactions, Engagement Levels, Diversity of Interactions, Identity Consistency, and Account Age. This multi-dimensional approach enabled Trusta Labs to accurately identify legitimate participants while filtering out suspicious addresses, ensuring a fair and transparent distribution of the $SONIC airdrop.

What’s Next?

Sonic SVM will separate the Token Generation Event (TGE) from the Mainnet Launch.
 
Before the Sonic SVM mainnet launch, we will kick off the Odyssey Pre-Mainnet Season as part of its testnet initiative.  Rings earned during this season will be eligible for rewards from the Community & Ecosystem Allocation once the mainnet is live.
